Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief to communities throughout the USA.
A box of Angel Food can be purchased for $30.
What is the retail value of the box of food?
Depending on your location, a box retails anywhere from $45 to $75 with an average retail value of right around $65.
An average box of food weighs around 21 lbs. The weight may differ each month. A box of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week, or a single senior citizen for almost a month.
Because of Angel Foods involvement with only the best producers and venders our products are high quality, “name brand” foods - never “seconds” or “day old type” products. Each month’s food menu consists of both fresh and frozen items.

Angel Food Ministries produces a monthly menu to inform customers of what food items will be available a full month in advance.
There is no limit on the number of boxes an individual or family may purchase. Angel Food Ministries also offers the purchase of one or more “Special Units” when buying a regular box of food. The “Specials” are mostly savings on meat boxes. (Special #1: 4lb. Steak Box or Special #2 8 - 8oz. Rib Eye Steaks for $20.00.) You must order a regular box to get any specials. If you purchase the regular box or the Senior/Convenience Meal Box you may get up to 5 special packages.
Do I need to qualify for the program?
There are no applications or qualifications, anyone can participate. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp Program, using the Off-Line Food stamp Voucher system. This ensures that the needy in your area are getting the maximum value for their grocery dollar, usually resulting in their receiving twice the amount of quality foods for their “food stamp dollar”.
Food sales and distribution are handled by the local host sites. Cazenovia Park Baptist Church is a host site for Angel Food Ministries. Currently we are helping an average of 250 families a month. We are always looking to assist more families! Our largest month of serving was 600 families.
Orders and payments are collected by each individual host site during the first part of each month. On the designated dates for order cut off, the church totals all their orders and sends the funds collected for all the orders to the home office of Angel Food. Angle Food Home office then processes all the orders for those host sites.
During the next week, called “Distribution Week”, Angel Food Ministries begin loading the trucks that are scheduled to arrive at the host sites on what we call “Distribution Saturday”. Along with the many trucks that go out from our warehouse about 200 local host sites pick up their food Saturday morning from our facility in Monroe.
Where does a host site pick up their orders?
Angel Food Ministries provides a delivery truck to a local “Drop Site”. This site is a shared or common site for several host sites to come to and pick up their food and take it back to their locations. Local host sites need to provide transportation from the “Drop Site” back to their individual host site. Cazenovia Park Baptist Church is the local drop site for the Buffalo area.
