ILLUMINATE is a student ministry designed to help middle and high school students grow their faith and character. The word illuminate means to ‘make visible or bright by shining light on it.’ We are founded on Matthew 5:14-16, which says,
14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
It is our belief that young people are called to shine the light of Christ wherever they go — in their homes, in their schools and in their neighborhoods, unashamedly living out their faith for the glory of God.
- OUR MISSION: We exist so students would have repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- OUR VISION: Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do and equip students to be the light of the world as Jesus calls them to be. We look to encourage others to follow Him daily through prayer, scripture, and service. We are committed to planting seeds that only God can grow.
Our ministry is for ages 12-18 and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00PM during the months of September–June.
At ILLUMINATE, youth will have opportunities to experience the love of God through His Word, spiritual conversations, and small groups. It’s a chance to meet new people in a fun, safe environment, and spend intentional time with God.
📖 The Treasures of Psalm 119
A Bible Study takes place almost every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15AM in the Youth Room on the third floor of Caz Church. Anyone age 12-18 is welcome!
Our current study, located in the Bicentennial Room, is called "The Treasures of Psalm 119" -- a study of the longest Psalm in the Bible. It's 176 verses! All of Caz Church's elders are taking turns teaching this study, including our Lead Pastor and Youth Director. We pray that teens and adults will attend this study to: deepen their love for God's Word; discover direction & guidance for their lives; find comfort & hope; understand God's character better; connect to Christ; and obtain some practical tips for living.
