ILLUMINATE is a youth ministry designed to help middle and high school students grow their faith and their character. The word illuminate means to ‘make visible or bright by shining light on it.’
We are founded on Matthew 5:14-16, which says, 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.“ It is our belief that young people are called to shine the light of Christ wherever they go — in their homes, in their schools and in their neighborhoods, unashamedly living out their faith for the glory of God.
- OUR MISSION: We exist so students would have repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- OUR VISION: Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do, and equip students to be the light of the world as Jesus calls them to be. We look to encourage others to follow Him daily through prayer, scripture, and service. We are committed to planting seeds that only God can grow.
Our ministry is for grades 7-12 and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00PM during the months of September-June.
At ILLUMINATE, students will have opportunities to experience the love of God through His Word, spiritual conversations, and small groups. It’s a chance to meet new people in a fun, safe environment, and spend intentional time with God.
UNLOCKING REVELATION 🔓
A Bible Study takes place almost every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15AM in the Youth Room on the third floor of Caz Church. Anyone grade 7-12 is welcome! For the 2024-2025 school year, we'll be working through one of the most challenging and rewarding books in the Bible -- Revelation.
Our study will be a teen devotional called "Unlocking Revelation", written by Paul Martin. The aim is simple: To understand the symbolism of the apocalyptic language and to discover the encouragements that are waiting for us. Revelation is a book that contains words spoken by Jesus which clearly reveal who He is. It encourages His people about the times we are living in, and gives details of the activity going on in heaven. It was written to enlighten us and not to confuse us! Are you going to discover which celebrity or world leader is the Antichrist? Um…no. It’s not really that kind of book! This devotional book is written in a clear and interesting style, to enable the reader to understand the book of Revelation, just as Jesus planned that you and I would.
Please encourage your teenager to join us in the Youth Room on the 3rd floor of Caz Church as we work through this book. This study will take us through most of the school year. A snack is provided for students on the last Sunday of the month.
