ILLUMINATE is a youth ministry designed to help middle and high school students grow their faith and their character.
The word illuminate means to ‘make visible or bright by shining light on it.’
We are founded on Matthew 5:14, which says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” It is our belief that young people are called to shine the light of Christ wherever they go — in their homes, in their schools and in their neighborhoods, unashamedly living out their faith for the glory of God.
- OUR MISSION: We exist so students would have repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- OUR VISION: Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do, and equip students to be the light of the world as Jesus calls them to be. We look to encourage others to follow Him daily through prayer, scripture, and service. We are committed to planting seeds that only God can grow.
Our ministry is for grades 7-12 and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00PM during the months of September-June.
At ILLUMINATE, students will have opportunities to experience the love of God through His Word, spiritual conversations, and small groups. It’s a chance to meet new people in a fun, safe environment, and spend intentional time with God.
📖 1 CORINTHIANS: UNITY IN CHRIST 📖
A Bible Study takes place almost every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15AM in the Youth Room on the third floor of Caz Church. Anyone grade 7-12 is welcome! Our second study of the 2023-2024 school year brings us back to the Bible. We’ll be reading 1 Corinthians, written by the Apostle Paul. Paul writes this letter to the church at Corinth, and includes both compliments and concerns. The Corinthians are divided; their church has potential, but they lack unity. Paul pleads with them to find unification, once again, in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this study, teens will learn about church division, marriage, the Lord’s Supper, spiritual gifts, love, and more. Our study will take us into February of 2024. The last Sunday of each month, a snack is provided for students.
