ILLUMINATE is a youth ministry designed to help middle and high school students grow their faith and character. The word illuminate means to ‘make visible or bright by shining light on it.’
We are founded on Matthew 5:14-16, which says, 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.“ It is our belief that young people are called to shine the light of Christ wherever they go — in their homes, in their schools and in their neighborhoods, unashamedly living out their faith for the glory of God.
- OUR MISSION: We exist so students would have repeated opportunities to hear and see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- OUR VISION: Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do and equip students to be the light of the world as Jesus calls them to be. We look to encourage others to follow Him daily through prayer, scripture, and service. We are committed to planting seeds that only God can grow.
Our ministry is for grades 7-12, ages 12-18, and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00PM during the months of September–June.
At ILLUMINATE, students will have opportunities to experience the love of God through His Word, spiritual conversations, and small groups. It’s a chance to meet new people in a fun, safe environment, and spend intentional time with God.
JUDE: Contending for the Faith 📖
A Bible Study takes place almost every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15AM in the Youth Room on the third floor of Caz Church. Anyone age 12-18 is welcome!
Our current study is called "JUDE: Contending For The Faith In Today's Culture", a video study by author and artist Jackie Hill Perry. While often overlooked, the book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved Church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. In this seven-week study, we are diving into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and we’re learning how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. A snack is provided for students on the last Sunday of the month.
