The Lawful Use of God’s Law

In 1 Timothy 1:8–11, Paul explains that the law is good when used lawfully — not as a means of earning righteousness, but as a mirror revealing our sin and pointing us to the gospel. The law exposes what is contrary to sound doctrine, while the gospel proclaims the glorious grace of God in Christ.
