Confidence in the Lord
In Psalm 27, David proclaims unwavering confidence in the Lord amid fear, opposition, and uncertainty. Believers are called to find their security in God’s presence, seek Him earnestly in prayer, and wait patiently for His perfect timing. Through every trial, the Lord remains our light, salvation, and stronghold.
The Results of Restoration
Those who have been forgiven and renewed are called to proclaim God’s truth, offer sincere worship from transformed hearts, and demonstrate a renewed concern for the well-being of God’s people. Restoration not only changes the individual but also impacts the community of faith.
Mercy for the Guilty
After being confronted over his sin, David cries out to God for mercy. Rather than making excuses, he appeals to God’s steadfast love, honestly confesses his guilt, and seeks the cleansing and renewal that only God can provide. Psalm 51 reminds us that forgiveness is available to all who come before the Lord in genuine repentance and faith.
Hidden with Christ
In Colossians 3:1–11, the Apostle Paul calls the Colossian Christians to set their minds on Jesus, put to death sinful practices, and embrace their new identity. In this standalone message, Joe walks us through what it means to be hidden with Christ in God.
Trusting In God Not Riches
In 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Paul shows us that as Christians we are to place our hope in God, not in riches, and live for eternity.
The Christian’s Charge and God’s Character
In 1 Timothy 6:13-16 Paul shows us that because of who God is we can be confident, constant, and comforted in the work the Lord calls us to.
The Christian’s Call to Action
In 1 Timothy 6:11-12 Paul gives us the Christian’s call to action. We see that the Christian life is a Spirit-empowered call to action in which we are to turn from sin, pursue virtue, and fight to persevere in the faith as we take hold of the eternal life that we have been called to.
